The start-up music from a ms. Pacman machine at twice the speed, from a machine at the musee mecanique on fisherman's wharf in san francisco. Recorded with a m-audio microtrack 24/96 held next to the machine and edited using audacity.

The beep tones my old pager makes when it is turned on. There are a couple 'boot up' beeps followed by the 'low battery' warning beeps. I needed some of this sound to use in a theatrical production [ a new brain ]. I recorded it on my laptop computer using a cheep condenser mic and audacity.

A simple kick/bass drum sound with a deep, sub-bass hum and a short infrasonic punch right at the onset (around 18hz), inspired by, and somewhat reminiscent of, the sounds of hip-hop/trap music. Made using audacity.

This is a deep bass rumble sound. Created in audacity by generating a brownian noise and band passing it through a steep 15 to 100 hz filter. The reason for the roll off below 15hz is to remove energy that doesn't produce any sound. It just moves the speaker cone and wastes amplifier power, thus it was rolled off.

An amplified version of thrusters_loop for a more intense effect. Has some nice rumbling and stereo sound. Created in fl studio with two white noise components, both with a low pass filter and one with an overdrive plugin. Edited in audacity.

This is the sound of a cleaning cart moving through the sidewalk and it's recorded in the street around the upf campus. The background noise it's due to the wind and some cars. It was recorded at 13:45. Recorded using zoom h4, normalized with audacity and adde fade-in and fade-out.

On this lo-fi recording, corn grains are sitting in a frying pan and begin to pop as the oil is hissing. It provides an interesting and regular popping sound suitable for mid-range frequencies. I was fooling around with audacity and created this neat little sound. I have no clue how to lower the volume, and really, i mean it: this thing is loud. I keep my volume at 10% and i couldn't even listen to this thing with my headphones. I have tried to lower the volume (so that it doesn't hurt the ears) but to no avail.
